Ilok Cellars best in Slavonia and The Croatian Danube and, third place of all Croatia!

On Thursday, November 23, 2017, at the Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, in a festive and friendly atmosphere, was held the 6th award of the “White grape”, a award to winegrowers who successfully develop wine tourism and individuals who contribute their activities to the development and promotion of wine culture.
The award was founded in 2012 by the Association for the Culture of Table G.E.T., which deals with the promotion of eno-gastronomy and the development of eno-gastro tourism.
Today the “White grape” award covers the states of the region according to regulations of the organizer and founder presented at G.E.T. Conference about eno-gastronomic tourism. The Regional Trophy award is awarded according to the voices of audience from across the region.
For the best wineries in their opinion, more than 500 eno-gastro connoisseurs and travelers have voted this year. Within Croatia, the results are divided into four regions: Croatian Uplands, Dalmatia, Istria and Kvarner and Slavonia and The Danube Region. Certificates were also awarded to wineries from Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia.

Purpose of the White Cluster project is to present and improve the tourist service in wine and gastronomic tourism and to promote the offer of regional wineries through tourist activities. The wider audience will have the opportunity to choose the best of the best in all of these countries and the “White Grape” Regional Trophy for the 2017/2018 season will be awarded at the 4th G.E.T. The Conference on Enogastronomic Tourism which will be held on February 16 and 17, 2018, on the Principovac Estate in Ilok.
